The existing sidewalk and abandoned roadway connecting Hogg Street to University Drive near the Post Office is being reconfigured into a multiuse pathway with dedicated spaces for wheeled devices and pedestrians.
This rendering depicts the new multiuse and bicycle lanes in yellow.
This reconfiguration supports initiatives identified in the Transportation Services Mobility Master Plan to create bicycle corridors inside the core of campus and west campus, connecting with the major roads entering campus.
Additional campus improvement projects scheduled for completion this fall will extend this bicycle corridor from west campus to Old Main Drive and from the MSC to North Houston Street.
The new bicycle corridor will connect to Northgate near the Post Office.
